Tanglewood Exceeding Expectations

Congratulations to the first set of Tanglewood Home Owners having occupancy closings this week! During the final inspections of these homes, the Vice President of Sierra was present and says she was amazed by how beautifully they turned out. Much of the credit goes to the purchasers who did such an excellent job of selecting their upgrades, features and finishes. We would love to have the opportunity to film some of these houses and take pictures for our website. The Tanglewood Community features several Energy Star Homes, three of which will be closing this week in our first set of Occupancy closings. These homes have very specific technical specifications that make them much more energy efficient then your average house and can save homeowners upwards of 30% off their annual energy expenditures.
They are built to be warmer in the winter and cooler in the summer months to cut down on heating and cooling costs. Their special energy-efficient windows have protective coatings, argon gas between the panes and improved frame assemblies that helps keep heat in the winter, keep it out in the summer and protect carpets, upholstery and artwork from damage by filtering the sun’s destructive UV rays. They have high efficiency furnaces, air conditioners and water heaters to help eliminate energy waste and all electrical components must be qualified ‘energy star’ products.

To ensure these homes are up to Energy Star codes and specifications, they have to be properly inspected by an external representative of Energy Star before they can be labelled as such. This week our houses have all been inspected and we are happy to report they all passed with flying colours. Sierra is excited to be taking part in the ‘going green’ movement and hope to feature many more Energy Star homes in future projects.
